Put that RECORD on //

Perennial
paper on vinyl, mix media
"12x12"
Harvest
paper on vinyl, mix media
"12x12"

These two painted vinyls are my contributions to my friend Ken Tanaka's first gallery show at Billy Shire Fine Arts. He's come a long way from Japan in search for his birth parents. Ken has become a Youtube sensation since moving to California, Los Angeles.

These pieces will be in Ken's art installation along with many other talented artists such as Kozyndan, David Mack, Pay Katusyuki, Martha Chan, Gary Musgrave, and Remi February

Ken Tanaka
Exhibition: April 11, 2009 - May 2, 2009
Opening Reception: Saturday, April 11th, 7-10 pm

Please watch this video for full description of the gallery or type in Ken Tanaka for all his videos on Youtube! It will be an eventful evening and if you are in the Los Angeles area please drop by!

What kind of paper did you use and how did you adhere it to the record? Spray adhesive? I love these and would like to attempt something similar.
